My brain was a bit fried yesterday, so I was stoked to receive an email from my blogging platform, WordPress, containing HouseGoesHome’s annual report.
Phew, I thought, no need to come up with a blog topic for today.
Here are some of the highlights …
“The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 180,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 8 days for that many people to see it.”
Riiiiiiight. Deep, huh?
“In 2015, there were 361 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 2,006 posts.”
“The busiest day of the year was June 4th with 5,865 views. The most popular post that day was ‘A funny thing happened when I talked about sex’.”
My top five posts in 2015 were ….
Sex and loot bags … hmmmm …
WordPress notes: “Some of your most popular posts were written before 2015. Your writing has staying power! Consider writing about those topics again.”
Not sure there’s much more I can milk out of loot bags. Sex, on the other hand …
Readers from 179 countries checked out my blog in 2015.
“Most visitors came from Australia. The United States & United Kingdom were not far behind.”
So, there you go, some useless trivia about meeeeeeeeee to kick off your NYE.
Do you have any plans for the night? Since I go to bed at 10pm, I never really give much thought to how I’ll party …
Have a good one.
Song of the day: Prince “1999” (How exciting was it to dance to 1999 on NYE 1999? I was beside myself … I think I saw the Noughties in at the salubrious Crazy Horse nightclub in Newcastle.)
