Ah, the Logies … it’s not about whether you win or lose … it’s about how fabulous you look on the red carpet at Crown Casino.
I’ve never been to a Logies ceremony despite spending vast swathes of my life embroiled in entertainment journalism, though I did judge an industry category one year. Oooooh-er.
Channel 9 and TV Week lifted the ban on celebs using social media during the ceremony so it was selfie central.
Here are some of my fave Instagram snaps.
Dannii Minogue: “#captionthis… #tvweeklogies @lukejacobz.”
Matt Preston: “Surely there’s a comedy duo here in the making! Logies.”
Loving this back view of Jessinta Campbell’s dress.
Meanwhile from TV Week: “tvweek@danniiminogue,you may have won the Gravity Room!#tvweeklogies.”
Dr Chris Brown: “It’s #tvweeklogies time with the @livingroomtv family. Thanks to @calibre for dressing me @thecrazybull@jonesyandamanda @baz_dubois.”
Wonderland stars Jessica Tovey and Brooke Satchwell.
Matt Little: “WINNING! @pipnortheast @kassandraclementi@erikaheynatz @piamiller #logies #logies2015.”
Megan Gale: “Love these babes @erikaheynatz @piamiller πππ@ateliermanagement.”
Richard Wilkins: “How great was @meghan_trainor at the#tvweeklogieawards !!”
Chrissie Swan: “LOVE THIS! #tvweeklogies @karlstefanovic.”
TV Week: “Love this fun image of Lisa McCune and her son in the Gravity Room! #tvweeklogies.”
David Campbell: “Happy Logies everyone #Logies #tvweeklogies#mornings.”
Ada Nicodemou: “@chrys_xippo standing tall #logies2015@paolo_sebastian @farageaustralia.”
And earlier in the night while getting her hair done …
Gyton Grantley: “Bad boys Bad boys whatchya gonna do?!#househusbands #logies @rhysam @gazzasweet@firazzle @darrenmcmullen.”
Lee Lin Chin: “Enjoying desert the only way I know how, with an iced beer #tvweeklogie.”
And … the Gold Logie went to …
Carrie Bickmore, who gave a moving speech while wearing aΒ beanie to raise awareness of brain cancer, which killed her husband in 2010.
“Throughout his cancer journey, he used to wear a lot of hats and he used to wear a lot of beanies and that was because he felt embarrassed about his scars and his head.
“I used to say to him don’t be embarrassed, scars are really, really cool and beanies are also really cool.
“I want to ask anybody that is on TV in Australia tomorrow, to whack on a beanie. I want to get the nation talking about brain cancer.”
Later in the night, Hamish Blake donned the beanie for this fun shot …
He captioned it: “Brilliant work Carrie. #beaniesforbraincancer.”
Did you watch the Logies?
Song of the day: Duran Duran “Girls on film”

It was a good show…the bits that I saw, anyway.
Seems the plunging neckline is back on trend…I reckon double-sided tape might have been “sold out” in the past few days!
