It’s been a week of TMI as celebs bared their bods (and souls) on social media … not to mention their sex secrets …
>> Sofia Vergara announced on her WhoSay account that she and fiancé Nick Loeb have broken off their engagement.
She wrote: “Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have [decided] to be apart. We have [been] having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and [because] of my work and now his, its been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore.”
It didn’t take long for Shane Warne to announce he was willing to take Nick’s place, on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa. He told the hosts: “I owe you one if you can set anything up … she’s reallly, really cool!”
Wippa suggested Warnie send her a twit pic – “one of those sultry ones in bed” saying “hope you’re feeling alright about the breakup.”‘
“That’s too tacky, we need to be classy,” Shane laughed, “maybe just the shirt off on the beach.”
>> Speaking of tacky … Tori Spelling revealed on her reality series, True Tori, that estranged husband Dean McDermott has a tattoo that says “Tori’s” – above his penis.
She dropped the clanger during lunch with her friends, then pointed out it didn’t stop him from fooling around. “It says ‘Tori’s.’ And months later he cheated on me.”
Tori posted the above pic on Instagram yesterday with the caption: “Does true love win out in life? #hope #truetori#LifetimeTv”
>> Jessica Simpson sent social media into a lather when she Instagrammed this picture of her muscular new body.
>> So did Lara Bingle when she started an album on her Facebook account called ‘Photographs by Samuel Worthington’, which included this topless shot.
>> Then things got REALLY out there when Demi Moore and Bruce Willis‘s daughter Scout Willis went completely topless for a stroll in New York to highlight her disatisfaction with Instagram’s policy against female nudity.
Using hashtag #FreeTheNipple, Scout captioned one shot: “Legal in NYC but not on @instagram” while on another she wrote “What @instagram won’t let you see.”
On Twitter she wrote: “If you don’t like what you see, simply unfollow me. My comfort with my body should not be dictated by how others perceive me. However, I don’t wish to force this view on anyone.”
>> And Lily Allen shared an Instagram video on Tuesday showing her topless and dancing to Drake’s “Started From The Bottom”.
Bizarrely, Lily wears a huge pair of Spanx that cover her from just under her breasts to her knees.
>> Jessica Marais revealed her 17-year battle with mental illness to the Australian Women’s Weekly.
Best known for her role as Rachel Rafter on Packed to the Rafters, Jessica revealed that she has suffered from bipolar episodes since she was 12.
“There’s a history of bipolar in my family and I was diagnosed at one point with bipolar.”
Jessica doesn’t take medication for her condition, preferring to undergo cognitive therapy.
“I have developed ways to talk myself down from any ledges I find myself on,” she said. “There’s probably one day a month when I am an absolute mess.”
>> Emma Watson has graduated from Brown Universitywith a degree in English Literature. She shared a photo of herself on Instagram in her cap and gown with the caption: “!”
Sadly, she had an undercover armed guard sitting next to her during the ceremony, because we live in that sort of world.
>> The cast of one of my favourite childhood shows, The Wonder Years, reunited for the release of “The Wonder Years: The Complete Series” DVD collection.
Fred Savage (Kevin), Danica McKellar (Winnie), Jason Harvey (Wayne Arnold), Josh Saviano (Paul Pfeiffer), Olivia D’Abo (Karen Arnold), Dan Lauria (Jack Arnold), and Alley Mills (Norma Arnold) took part in sit-down interviews and posed for some awesome selfies.
>> Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have split after two years of marriage.
“Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have decided to separate,” their rep said in a statement. “They both love and respect one another and will of course remain committed to co-parenting their son. This is a mutual decision and the two remain close friends.”
The couple welcomed a son last July but have kept his name a secret.
Jamie has closed his Twitter account, while Evan wrote: “Twitter break for a while. …to be continued.”
>> Bruce Willis and his wife Emma Heming-Willis have introduced their baby girl Evelyn to the world via Facebook.
“Breakfast of Champions. Photo cred: B. Willis,” Heming-Willis wrote. Emma gave birth to big sister Mabel two years ago.
>> Christina Ricci is expecting her first child with husband James Heerdegen.
Ricci met Heerdegen, a camera technician, on the set of her former show Pan Am. They wed in October, 2013,
>> Georgie Gardner made the shock announcement live on air that she was leaving the Today Show after seven years.
The mother-of-two, denied claims she quit for a role on 60 Minutes and insisted it was to spend more time with her family.
>> Oh and, of course, Kim Kardashian married Kanye West. While most people seem to be siding with The New York Post’s assessment (above), you can read my lowdown on it all here.
>> One of the strangest pics to emerge from the wedding was Will Smith‘s son Jaden Smith wearing a white Batman costume to the reception.
That’s it for this week … see you next Friday for another celeb round-up.
