The celebrity story that totally knocked me for a six this week was the news that Paul Hogan’s wife Linda had filed to divorce her husband of 23 years. Unlike one iVillage Facebook follower who electronically shrugged her shoulders and said: “They had a good innings.”

The pair fell in love while filming Crocodile Dundee. It was a scandal of HUGE proportions at the time. Paul was married to first wife Noelene – they had five children together and were seen as the perfect family. But their 30-year marriage came to a very messy end when Paul left her for his much younger co-star.

The pair married in 1990 and had a son, Chance.

Noelene sniped after the divorce: “I had him when he was young, virile and handsome. He’s still got a good butt and good legs but she’s got him in older times when all he wants to do is sit around the house and not go out. I was the one who had the best years of his life”.

According to TMZ Linda cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce documents. She asked for spousal support, and joint legal and physical custody of their 15-year-old son, Chance.

“As for money … there will be a lot to divvy up … Paul is worth a reported $20 mil. Linda wants to erase any trace of being married to the “Crocodile Dundee” legend — she wants her maiden name restored.”

According to the court documents the couple separated last month. Paul’s rep says the split is amicable. The couple sold their Malibu mansion to Chris Hemsworth last month for more than $5million.

>> I took back every mean thought I’ve ever had about James Franco’s ego, the guy is a SWEETHEART. During a photo shoot at a private Beverly Hills home, the actor heard that the daughter of the owner was nursing a broken heart. Greta Pasqua, 15, “was really depressed because her boyfriend had just broken up with her”. So he helped her take sweet revenge on her ex – who happens to be a huge Franco fan – by cuddling her for a photo.  He said, “Post it on Facebook and tell him to eat his heart out!” Awwwwww!

>> Months ago, Aussie Jon Bon Jovi fanatic Branka Delic started an online campaign with a website and Facebook page to urge the singer to give her away to fiance Gonzalo “Gonzo” Cladera last weekend in Las Vegas. And her dream came true! The singer surprised the 34-year-old bride before her Las Vegas ceremony, which took place – not by coincidence – at the same wedding chapel where Bon Jovi tied the knot with his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, in 1989.

>> Vanity Fair magazine is celebrating its 100th birthday and has been going through its files searching for photos of celebrities before they hit the big time. In August 1990, photographer Matthew Rolston shot Robert Downey Jr with a pair of female feet propped up against his face. >> The Hollywood Reporter has revealed why Charlie Hunnam pulled out of 50 Shades of Grey. The article claims that he clashed with director Sam Taylor-Johnson over script revisions and was only going to be paid $125,000 for the film. A source told Us Weekly after his departure, “ultimately it wasn’t worth it.”

>> Ivanka Trump – daughter of billionaire business mogul Donald – had a baby boy on Monday, and shared a photo of her little bundle on Twitter. “We just welcomed a beautiful & healthy son into the world. Jared, Arabella and I couldn’t be happier!” the 31-year-old businesswoman tweeted. The little boy – named Joseph Frederick Kushner – is the second child for Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, owner of the New York Observer.

>> Entertainment Weekly released its fourth annual Reunions Issue, featuring the stars of Boy Meets World, Do the Right Thing, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The School of Rock, Frasier, Mystic Pizza and – my personal favourite – The X-Files.

>> Kate Moss and Johnny Depp were one of the ’90s most iconic couples and now they’ve been reunited by Paul McCartney. The ex-Beatle convinced the pair to appear in the video for his new single, Queenie Eye. I’d love to have been a fly on the wall of the set because their break-up in 1994 was a doozie. “I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust,” Kate has said in the past, describing the split as a “nightmare”. “Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears!”

>> The new romantic comedy That Awkward Moment stars Zac Efron as one of three brothers navigating their way through the tricky waters of 20-something romance. In one TMI scene the trio take Viagra and then have difficulty peeing, so Zac’s character gets “horizontal” to try and get around the problem.

>> Tom Hanks has relived the most famous scene from his hit movie Big when he showed off his skills while making a guest appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show in the UK, playing the keys with his feet and was even later joined by Sandra Bullock! Click here to see them in action. 

>> New parents Fergie and Josh Duhamel spent a day picking grapes at Fergie’s family’s vineyard in Santa Barbara, leaving six-week-old Axl Jack in the care of his grandpa Pat. Fergie tweeted a photo of Pat with Axl in his arms, writing, ‘Grampa’s favourite bundle of grapes in the vineyard’.

>> Hugh Jackman turned 45 and threw himself a party with 4500 guests to celebrate. There was one catch – everyone had to pay to attend because it was a benefit concert that raised $1.85 million for the Motion Picture & Television Fund (which provides health care and other services to entertainment-industry workers and retirees). “This is probably the most narcissistic way to spend your birthday,” he said after the show. “I chose my favourite songs and told stories about my life.”

>> Robbie Williams fought back tears while discussing fatherhood in a radio interview for BBC Radio. When asked about his one-year-old daughter Teddy, he admitted: “She’s difficult to talk about. I worry about me, I’ve been a very selfish for a long time. I’ve indulged myself in every way possible and since I was 16, everyone has done everything for me, I didn’t have to lift a finger really. And then all of a sudden person comes into the world that I have to look after and be responsible for. I was terrified all the way through the pregnancy that I wasn’t going to be able to step up and be a father, the father that I want to be to her. And I sort of made this promise to her during that time of not being certain and it’s something that I dangled there as a carrot to myself that it’s the most important job I will do on the planet.”

>> Meg Ryan is set to star and executive-produce a TV pilot, playing “a sunny, devoted and desperately non-confrontational” single mother who decides to return to work at her former publishing house, where she will be supervised by her 30-year-old former intern. Meg got her first big break in TV as Betsy Stewart Andropoulos on As the World Turns, which she starred in from 1982-1984. Betsy’s touching 1984 wedding to Steve Andropoulos (Frank Runyeon, pictured) reaped the second-highest ratings in soap history.

>> In an interview on British talk show “This Morning” Michael Douglas admitted that the type of cancer he battled in 2010 was not stage four throat cancer — he was actually diagnosed with tongue cancer. But he lied to protect his career. “This was right before I had to go on a big tour for Wall Street so we kind of said, ‘There’s no way we can cancel the tour and say we don’t feel well,'” he explained. “So you know, I said, ‘You’ve just got to come out and just tell them I’ve got cancer and that’s that.'” Michael decided to keep his tongue cancer secret after his doctor, who’d found a walnut-size tumour at the base of his tongue, revealed the surgery could have a serious impact his appearance. “The surgeon said, ‘Let’s just say it’s throat cancer,'” Michael said, explaining that the doctor told him “it’s not going to be pretty” and that he faced losing part of his jaw and tongue.

And, finally, there were five celebrity weddings in one weekend!

>> Mad Men star  Ben Feldman married Michelle Mulitz on Saturday. ”Michelle and I were so excited to share this beautiful day with our best friends and family in D.C.,” Feldman told People magazine. “No amount of thunderstorms, police chases, government shutdowns or self immolations could keep us from having the best party of our lives.” Over 350 guests watched as the former Drop Dead Diva star and Mulitz said their vows in a barn on the property.

>> Rose McGowan wed artist Davey Detail on Saturday in Los Angeles. The pair exchanged vows – according to People magazine – in a “romantic and ethereal” ceremony as 60 guests looked on. Rose, 40, wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier as the couple were married by a rabbi outdoors under a chuppah.  The actress confirmed the news late Saturday, taking to Twitter to say: “Hell to the yeah! I’m a Mrs.! What?!AWESOME! Love to you all!!!!!”

>> 30 Rock character “Toofer” – Keith Powell – married visual artist Jill Knox in New York on Saturday. Friends and family gathered at the venue Tribeca Rooftop for the ceremony. Powell proposed to Knox with a fortune cookie with the message: “Jill Knox, will you marry me?”

>> Grammy award winning singer Pharrell Williams married model Helen Lasichanh on Saturday in Miami, Florida. “Usher and Busta Rhymes did a mini concert at the wedding,” a source revealed to US magazine. “It was so fun. The little concert was amazing. It [was] the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to.”

>> Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum tied the knot with singer and dancer Adriane “Ace” Harper on Saturday in Palm Springs, California.  Their star-studded guest list included famous pals Steven Tyler, Juliette Lewis, John Varvatos, Jane Lynch, John Stamos, Dave Navarro and former Guns N’ Roses bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan.
