Bikini wax in aisle 4

I ran into my beautician at Coles last night. As you do. Well, as I do.

It was a bit awkward because she was glammed up and I was an absolute fright: grey roots, no make-up, trakkie daks.

It was also a bit awkward because I haven’t been to see her since March.

I apologised for not visiting recently, but said I was keen to make an appointment soon to get my face and nethers back on track.

Viviana immediately whipped out her phone and booked me in for a lash tint, brow wax, brow tint and nethers wax on the spot.

It was a bit weird to be discussing bikini wax versus g-string wax in the muesli section, but I ran with it.

Viviana is perhaps a few years older than me and she’s just signed up to a booking app. My hairdresser also uses the app, but I’ve stuck with just responding to the messages he sends me.

With Viviana I needed to download the app when I got home to confirm the booking.

I may have “digital” in my job title but I’m not good with technology.

I stuffed it up, kept getting an error message and had to text Viviana for help. She ended up calling me to try and sort it out. After some unsuccessful faffing about, she gave up, deleted my appointment and told me to rebook it.

Oh the joy I felt after learning how to book appointments in the app. It means I never have to call or text Viviana ever again to arrange hair removal. I can just check the app and see when she’s free to torture me. Bliss!

As you are probably aware, texting and calling people are two of my least favourite things in life.

I am stoked to cross another contact off the list.

I did something else fun last night, but it ended very late and I have a hectic day ahead, so I will fill you in on Monday.

Oh, and there’s a PG reason I need a bikini wax, but I like to keep a few surprises up my sleeve, so I will tell you about that another time too.

Have a fab weekend. Mine is shaping up to be very quiet, with DD away.
