Doing a runner

I really need a mental health day … but life just doesn’t allow for that right now.

Today is shaping up as another crazy one.

I have to finish my first communications plan by 3pm. I’m supposed to be at a lunch with my fellow X-trainers. I’m picking the eldest up from band at 3.30pm. I have a builder coming over to discuss my crazy French door fantasy at 4pm. I need to be at the eldest’s school from 5-8pm for paperwork signing and a band performance. I have no idea what I’m going to do about a) collecting the youngest from skipping training at 5.30pm or b) feeding her dinner since she’s decided to go sugar free again and has somehow discovered there’s sucrose in sushi rice.

So, while I don’t really have time, I’m off to stare at this …

… before dashing to the office.

I need a little serenity in my day. Hope you get some in yours too.

Catch you tomorrow.

  1. Perhaps start by not putting pressure on yourself to prepare a sugar/sucrose free diet for your daughter. That’s just craziness. A bowl of bolognaise never killed anyone.

Hope you made it thru ok!

    • She did end up getting a bowl of pre-microwaved spag bol in the car on the way to the concert. I kinda respect the sugar thing though. It’s a real eye opener – she noticed there’s sugar in Vegemite the other day. Noooooooo!
