I’ve had heaps of people asking me what the hell is happening with the Kathleen Folbigg case review.
The answer is: not a lot!
It turns out the date I mentioned back in August was just the first moment we might hear something.
Sigh.
However, I was really excited to get an update this afternoon from the barrister involved in the case.
She shared this email she received: “Further to our telephone discussion earlier this afternoon, I confirm that the Crown Advocate and Counsel have been briefed in this matter.
“As discussed, in light of the volume of material to be considered including 27 days of transcripts, multiple exhibits and numerous expert reports it is estimated at this stage that advice will be given to the Attorney General around 30 October 2015.”
I’ll keep you in the loop. Though I’m guessing the answer on October 30 could be pretty big in the news sphere.
