Never one to do anything by half measures, this week has been another cracker in the stress stakes and I’m bloody knackered.
There’s the new job, which I’m loving. There’s my old house, which I’m frantically clearing out after selling. There’s this new house that I’m trying to buy and was supposed to exchange contracts on Friday, but there was too much argy bargy and it didn’t happen and I might miss out. Pass me the Valium, quick!
If I do miss out on it there will be a whole raft of other stresses, lead chiefly by WHERE THE HELL WILL I LIVE????
But I am sticking my head in the sand until tomorrow and hoping it all works out OK.
And once I know where and when I’m moving I can tackle the hell that is booking a removalist.
And then I NEVER want to move again. Wishful thinking, I know.
As for the nitty gritty of last week on the blog, it went like this:
>> Monday kicked off with The Divorce Diet that’s left me looking like a sharpei.
>> Tuesday had me reminiscing about the birth of my daughter in a blog called Baby Talk, after uncovering treasures in the attic.
>> Wednesday I revealed 7 Things You Might Not Know About Me including my hair-trigger gag reflex, ’80s music obsession and desire to be an alien.
>> Thursday I marvelled over the joys of my new job in I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends, and noted that the meaning of life has been confirmed by Diet Coke being button No.42 on the junk machine in the staff kitchen.
>> On Friday I revealed I’d had my first nasty trolling incident. The person responsible has since profusely apologised and its been interesting to note my feelings during it all. I wasn’t hurt or angry, just disappointed. And I think that’s a result of what the last five months have served up and what they’ve taught me about anger. It’s an ugly emotion that just ends up damaging you if you let it get out of control.
PS There was also lots of happy stuff in HouseGoesHollywood, like Ryan Gosling and Robert Downey Jr becoming daddies.
>> On Saturday I belatedly marked my Dad’s birthday and marvelled that We Are (A New) Family.
