Lindsay tweets shock pregnancy news
“Its official. Pregnant…” Lindsay Lohan tweeted overnight, sending the gossip world into a tailspin.
But it turned out to be an April Fools’ joke she was playing in true LiLo fashion, late – she posted it in the early hours of April 2.
As People magazine notes: “Then again, lateness is a Lohan specialty – she was an hour tardy to her crucial court hearing last month, and also missed her flight back to the U.S. from Brazil on Monday.”
Ellen’s surprising new look
Another belated April Fool’s prankster was Ellen DeGeneres who tweeted a pic of herself with brunette hair late on April 1, beside an image of Reese Witherspoon, who recently DID swap her signature blonde tresses for a darker look.
She captioned it: “Reese Witherspoon isn’t the only one who’s gone brunette.”
In other Ellen news, it’s been officially announced that Finding Nemo will have a sequel, Finding Dory. Ellen – who voices Dory – shared the news on her show, telling the audience: “I’m excited that it’s finally happening. I read the script and it’s fantastic, it’s hilarious, it’s warm, it’s everything that you want it to be.”
Mike’s tattoo gone?
Meanwhile, Mike Tyson freaked everyone out by telling his Twitter followers he was removing his signature face tattoo.
“At the doctors office this morning. Getting this tattoo removed from my face. This is going to be painful.” he wrote, later adding, “Ok. April Fools. There is no #GoodbyeMikeTysonTattoo. This tattoo is with me forever.”
Justin gets one back at the paparazzi
One of the best celebrity pranks of the day came from Justin Bieber, who tweeted then deleted, “as promised taking ALL fan phone calls today at (888) 847 9869. Talk to u soon!”
Except it wasn’t his number, it was the tip line at the celebrity gossip site TMZ.
“Justin Bieber put our phone number on his Twitter page today. Sweet kid,” TMZ head Harvey Levin laughed during Monday’s “TMZ Live” online.
“It is actually pretty funny,” Levin said as they kept cutting to a man answering the phone, which was ringing nonstop. “Gotta hand it to him.”
Heidi’s holiday nightmare
Heidi Klum‘s blissful family holiday to Hawaii took a terrifying turn on Sunday when her son Henry almost drowned.
The seven-year-old and two nannies got sucked into a rip in Oahu.
Fortuantely, Heidi and her boyfriend Martin Kristen were able to rescue the group.
In a statement, Heidi explained: “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely.”
Just before the incident, Heidi had tweeted a pic of the beach scattered with colourful eggs and captioned it: “Happy Easter!”
Neil’s wacky birthday treat
Neil Patrick Harris‘ partner David Burtka has come up with a very unique gift for the star’s 40th birthday – a cross-country scavenger hunt.
The How I Met Your Mother actor’s actual birthday isn’t until June 15, but the celebrations began on Saturday with a surprise party.
Then on Monday, he was driven to Las Vegas for a training session with Cirque Du Soleil performers, in full make-up. He tweeted: “My b’day is 6/15. @Davidburtka threw a surprise party for me on Saturday – blown away. I’m now on some lengthy treasure hunt that is unreal.”
He’s since added: “I’ve dug up locked boxes, driven to Vegas, trained with@Cirque folk, eaten amazing food, and now am on a train to ?? @Davidburtka rules!”
Hayden’s family plans
Hayden Panettiere has only just gotten engaged and she’s already talking babies with her boxer fiance Wladimir Klitschko
She tells the latest issue of Glamour magazine: “I’ve lived a very big life, and I don’t feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother. Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, “Your life ends—you’re never going to be able to do anything again!” And I’m like, “What are you talking about?” Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there’s nothing that I feel like I can’t accomplish while having children in my life. I would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids.”
