Would you put this in your mouth?

My Google searching for Sprog 1’s birthday has progressed to the lolly bag stage. What does one put in a Mad Scientist Party lolly bag? Good lordy, you won’t believe the bizarre choices there are. Here are just a few of the kooky candies I’ve discovered on my Google travels.

I’m thinking about making these the star item in Sprog 1’s goodie bags. ChoCo(pronounced Choc-O-2) is strawberry-flavoured popping candy with a choc coating, packaged in a test tube. They’re from The Professors Tasty Technology.

Fancy some red liquid candy packaged in blood bags, just like the intravenous bags used in hospitals? “Features a sweet cherry flavour – the flavour preferred by top heart surgeons and thirsty vampires alike!” says Candy Warehouse.

What about some Bloody Bones? “Sweet and crunchy, just like real bones! These scary candy bones feature a spattering of red coloring giving the appearance of blood” is the tasty description from Candy Warehouse

These lollipops have with real creepy creatures inside for you to munch. Varieties include Crunchy Crickets, Meaty Mealworms and Scary Scorpions. From The Bug Shop.

BeanBoozled jelly beans come in 16 flavours, 8 weird flavours matched with 8 look-alike tasty flavours. Is the green jelly bean Juicy Pear or Booger flavour? Perhaps the blue bean is Toothpaste flavour or maybe it’s Berry Blue. Fancy Peach or Vomit? There’s even a Dog Food flavour. How’s that for an a party game? (I’ve bought Sprog 1 a few boxes for her Christmas stocking … mmmmm). From eBay store Ichocgift.
On the subject of boogers … these gummy boogers look and feel real, except with a tangy fruity taste. From The Candy Man.
Feeling peckish? Just be thankful I didn’t blog the plastic nose you squeeze lolly snot out of …

  1. There are some pretty gross Halloween lollies around at the moment that Sprog 1 may like. Big W has a good range of severed fingers, eyeballs etc.
