She’s doing a “writing extension” class. The do stuff like eat chocolate and then describe what an alien would think of it. She loves it!
I hope you come back from the dead asap. Nice poem – your way with words must run in the family. Unmortifying the dodo – seriously – is a topic that’s discussed in scientific circles. The Smithsonian people think that resurrecting the dodo is unlikely ref http://www.smithsonianmag.com/specialsections/innovators/shapiro.html, but the recent discovery of an intact skeleton in a cave in Mauritius might help – you never know.
It took us humans only about 60 years (1600 to 1660) to make the dodos extinct.
I love dodos. Poor, stupid birds.
