I was a bit torn at the check-out. I really wanted to know who Brad’s secret family were, despite commonsense telling me it wouldn’t be quite the dramatic revelation I was hoping for. But I wasn’t madly keen to read the other New Idea cover stories. Then I spotted Famous with Posh: It’s Worse Than We Thought, and I went “oooooh”. I hadn’t actually been aware things were bad, but it didn’t matter, because I could skip straight to worse. Posh looked dreadful and she was promising to tell me about her post-natal depression. Add Jessica Simpson calling her daughter Maxwell, Katy’s new man and that cute Aussie boy, Liam something-or-other, being caught in a love triangle, plus my favourite “mango” colour scheme, and I was hooked.
