I know it’s a little early, but I’ve been online shopping for my birthday.
Mainly impulse buys that I later regret, as I like to keep my anxiety levels nice and high. Or is it that my anxiety levels trigger the impulse buys?
Either way …
A navy linen shirt is winging it’s way to me from a fashion label based in Perth.
I have been yearning for a navy linen shirt for weeks, so I am surprised I staved off the urge for as long as I did. It will look lovely with my Gordon Smith white pants.
Oh how far the mighty Marc by Marc Jacobs fan has fallen.
Gordon. Smith.
You just need to read those two words to know the brand is a couple of football field lengths away from being cool.
But I am excited to be back in white pants for the first time in decades. I had decided white wasn’t suitable for a chonky almost-60-year-old body, but it’s surprisingly flattering.
I am also thisclose to booking another cruise. Because I’m worth it. Or I’m a bit crazy. Or both. Either way, I need to work out how to get more annual leave and lose weight so I look presentable in a cossie.
While my energy levels for clothes and cruise shopping are high, I couldn’t be bothered cooking last night. But I felt like comfort food, so I ducked to Coles for a barbecued chook. I fancied some no-effort mash to go with it and was excited to discover mash comes in the freezer these days in long, tube-like pellets. I grabbed a bag of that, a bunch of broccolini and some chicken gravy and dinner was sorted.
Not bad. The dogs and I will eat the leftovers for dinner tonight.
And that’s about all I have to tell you about Wednesday. It was pretty quiet in Alanaland.
How was your hump day?
