Feeling trippy

When DD and I went on our Vivid cruise last week, I was filled with knowledge about the installations, but a bit blase about the view.

If you write about something for months and edit endless images of it, it loses a bit of its magic.

But, when I posted this drone video from the festival on LinkedIn yesterday, I felt a bit giddy.

It’s quite spectacular don’t you think? Very trippy!

I have no idea how I was the slightest bit blase about that view, it is stunning.

Oh, and check out this video from my cruise for a brief cameo by DD.

Speaking of trippy, I must lie on a sun lounge with a cocktail in my hand soon.

Poor DD got trapped in the car with me for two hours on the way back to Sydney on Sunday afternoon as I blubbed.

I was so disappointed to wake up two weeks after falling victim to the flu still feeling like I had been hit by a truck.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I need a rest.

A friend went swimming with whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef over the weekend and oh how I wish to be there too.

There has been far too little swimming, with or without whale sharks, in my life recently and I need it back in my life.

On the other hand, a spot of shopping and swimming in Waikiki would be nice.

Hey, I’d settle for a long weekend in an apartment overlooking Newcastle Beach at this point. I’ve already been Googling potential properties I could buy in the CBD after my visit over the weekend because Newie is looking mighty fine these days.

But first I need to sort out my health. I had a bladder ultrasound yesterday and I will have a day procedure in the next week or two to ensure there isn’t something ominous lurking in there.

Ultrasounds are not happy experiences for paranoid people. I watched the technician like a hawk the whole time for signs she had found something bad.

And I kept making terrible assumptions about why she was asking every question.

I walked out of the clinic a complete bundle of nerves. Just for something completely different.

OK, gotta go. There are dogs to be walked before I trek into the office to write about Vivid a bit more.

Where do you want to go on holidays next?
