Birthday bubbles and bliss

I’m 47 today. Forty farking seven! Geez that sounds old.

And it felt old as I struggled out of bed before dawn for a 7am start at work.

Last night was the official launch of the Festival of The Birthday, held at O Bar. It’s a revolving restaurant on the 47th floor of a building in the city.

I’d requested bubbles with a view and that’s what I got. Pink bubbles with THIS view …

Gorgeous huh? I hadn’t fully explained that I’m a bit scared of heights and was anticipating a view on ground level, so it took a little while to get used to the floor-to-ceiling windows and the fact the whole bar was revolving, but I got there in the end, especially after a few glasses of the pink bubbles and some chorizo soft tacos.

It was sooooo gorgeous to be there watching the sun set …

DD was enlisted to take a selfie of me to mark the occasion but I hated them all, because aside from 47 sounding old and feeling old, it also looks old.

Lucky me! I felt very spoilt.
