This stuff is soooooooo cool!

I thought my attention span would increase with age, but I seem to be heading in the opposite direction.

I am sooooo easily distracted. Ooooh, funny cat video; ooooh, chicken schnitzel slider burgers; ooooh, let’s get tickets in the Boystown lottery house and turn the study into a sleepover room with bunk beds built into all the walls; ooooh, Neil Patrick Harris’ kids look so cute in that Instagram shot;  ooooh, let’s built a loft in the roof above your room for your bed with a slide to the floor below; ooooh, let’s buy that puppy we just saw; ooooh, I wish I could afford that awesome house on Domain …

My head spins with ideas and thoughts like a top.

Here’s some of the stuff that’s swirled this week:

>> A clever mob in Queensland – Robust Pools – are making pools out of shipping containers …

Must. Have. One.

>>> People are taking selfies with Quokkas – hands down the happiest looking animals on the planet – and they’re AWESOME!

>>  I got an email from a woman who’s created something called a Buglet. She wrote: “I want to introduce you to my product Buglet. Part mosquito repellent, part fashion statement, I created Buglet after years of anxiety about the safety of rubbing DEET and other chemicals into my children’s skin in order to protect them from bug bites.  I kept wondering if the protector (the DEET) was worse than the predator (the mosquitos).

“I teamed up with a former Swatch designer to create a bright colored slap bracelet that kids would think is cool–so they actually like wearing their bug protection!  For parents, that means no more negotiating, worrying or forgetting to protect them.  I worked with a lab in California to create an all-natural repellent oil with a scent humans find refreshing but mosquitoes find repulsive. Just slap on the bracelet and place a couple of drops of repellent oil on the ceramic disc in the middle of the bracelet.”

I think it’s such a cool idea … check ’em out …

>> Draco Malfoy was hanging out with the Weasleys in West Hollywood recently … imagine the double take you’d do if you walked into a bar and spotted this mob …

>> There’s a bloke who’s dressing up as Spider-Man and walks around Birmingham feeding the homeless. He even has his own Twitter feed – @brumspiderman – so people can follow his adventures.

He told the BBC: “I’ve worked with homeless and vulnerable people for three or four years and love seeing the smiles on people’s faces,” he said. “Then I thought ‘if they are happy now, imagine how much bigger the smile would be if it was Spider-Man giving out the food.'”

>> Some brilliant person has invented bouncy wine glasses. Gizmodo headlined its story on them: “Silicone Boozewear Will Easily Survive Your Most Drunken Rampages”

>> John Stamos photobombed tourists at the San Francisco home that starred in Full House‘s opening credits.

He captioned the shot: “Boy, these youngsters have 0.0 idea what they’re missing. #Fullhousehouse. #TURNAROUND.”

LOVE it.
