Let’s start with the kindness. People have been so nice to me on Facebook after I posted a blog on my page called “Is House Really Going Home?”
To be honest, I hadn’t really thought much about the impact of my words when I typed them. These days there isn’t much time for reflection. I’m usually madly writing at sparrow’s fart before a frantic day editing a website. I kind of just let my fingers take me where they will and hope for the best.
But people took the time to say stuff like “great, honest read” and “I think you will show us yet:)” and “PowerHouse”.
It was so lovely of them.
Speaking of honest reads … earlier in the week I posted “I’m Maxed Out” and confessed: “I’ve often felt a little “maxed out” in the past year. It just doesn’t seem possible to work full-time, care for my kids and still have time to keep “life” afloat.”
I lightened up for 10 Clever Cupcake Ideas.
That was a bit of a surprise hit so I followed it up yesterday with 5 More Amazing Christmas Cupcakes. (And scored my best Saturday blog views in months.)
Then I wrapped the week with 7 Celebrity Baby Announcements.
Meanwhile over at iVillage …
The cruelty of Facebook presented itself in some bizarre new metric they have that decides that despite the site having almost 18,000 followers, only a handful will see some of the stuff we post. It means some days you wonder why the bloody hell you bother posting anything at all.
Although there was some stuff it just couldn’t ignore …
