HouseGoesHollywood: Miranda’s response to the James Packer rumour is …

Between that nasty Nigella business and the whole Miranda Kerr/James Packer dating revelation I’m a bit shell shocked today.

Miranda reunites with Orlando

Amid reports that Miranda Kerr is dating James Packer (JAMES PACKER!!!) the supermodel has flown to New York to visit her ex Orlando Bloom (hmmmm … damage control?).

Staying mum about the rumours, Miranda Instagrammed a cute photo of her son watching his dad rehearse his role in the Broadway hit Romeo & Juliet. She captioned it: “Flynn having such a great time watching Daddy on stage.”

As for the James Packer thing … the pair reportedly became close when their families holidayed together in Bora Bora in May 2012 but didn’t start dating until they left their respective spouses recently.

In a bizarre co-incidence, Miranda and James’s ex-wife Erica were born in the same NSW country town of Gunnedah.

Woman’s Day blew the lid on what has been dubbed a ‘serious’ relationship in today’s edition of the magazine, which reps for both parties have yet to deny.

Miranda and Orlando

Packer is 46 and Kerr 30.

Kerr has never given a reason for the end of her three year marriage to Bloom, with whom she has a 2-year-old son. Neither has Packer explained his split from Baxter with whom he shares three children (which cost him $100million in the divorce settlement).

Dare we say it, but Packer seems to have a type: brunette beauties. Among the women he has courted are model Jennifer Flavin, former actress Kate Fischer and his first wife, former model Jodhi Meares.

On the other hand, as @thetowncrier notes: “To her credit, I suppose, I think we can now safely say Miranda Kerr doesn’t have a ‘type’.”

Charles is broken hearted that Nigella left (really?)

Nigella_Lawson_Charles_Saatchi

Charles Saatchi made two shock confessions to a jury last week: that he is “utterly heartbroken” to have divorced Nigella Lawson and that he doesn’t know if she took drugs during their marriage.

When asked if he had adored Nigella when they were married, he replied: “I adore Nigella now. I absolutely adore Nigella and I’m broken-hearted to have lost her.”

The couple separated earlier this year after an alleged choking incident at a restaurant. When quested about the allegation yesterday, he insisted he was trying to make her “focus”.

He said: “I was not gripping, strangling or throttling her. I was holding her head by the neck to make her focus, can we be clear? Was it about her drug use? No.”

Saatchi also told jurors: ‘In one of the very rare conversations I’ve had with Nigella since we split, I asked her whether she was happy. And she said she was happy. And I said ‘What was this all about?’

“She said ‘I’m happy because I don’t feel I have to ask for a pass to do what I feel like doing’.

“And I said to her ‘You never had to ask for a pass, you could do whatever you liked. If you wanted to have a girls’ night or go to a party then you were free to do so’.”

As for claims by former employees Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo – who are standing trial accused of using misusing the former couple’s credit cards – that Nigella was a habitual cocaine user while married to him, Saatchi said: “Like you, I like proof. I have no proof.”

“I have never, never seen any evidence of Nigella taking any drug whatsoever. I want to be helpful, but I genuinely have no real knowledge at all.”

Questioned about an email he wrote where he referred to his ex-wife as ‘Higella’, he insisted it was just a ‘silly pun’.

The email read: “Of course now the Grillos will get off on the basis that you… were so off your heads on drugs that you allowed the sisters to spend whatever they liked and yes I believe every word the Grillos have said, who after all only stole money … But I’m sure it was all great fun and now everything is perfect – bravo, you have become a celebrity hostess on a global TV game show. And you got the Pass you desired, free to heartily enjoy all the drugs you want, forever. Classy.”

When asked by prosecutor Jane Carpenter about the email,  he said: “I’m utterly bereft that this private email to Nigella has come back to haunt us both … I was just being nasty. ’This is not a very pleasant email but I was very, very upset.”

Posh & Becks steam it up

Victoria and David Beckham may have been married for 14 years, but they still know how to smoulder. The pair appear together on the cover of Paris Vogue’s December issue.

“David and I have been through so much together,” Victoria said. “We’ve had our ups and downs, but we’re so proud of each other.”

Victoria, who also guest edited the Christmas issue and the editor-in-chief of French Vogue, Emmanuelle Alt, has raved about working with her: “We handed over the running of this issue to a woman who, throughout our working together, has proved to be the exact opposite of her public image. She is spontaneous with a great sense of humour, humble yet at the same time driven by a healthy ambition. She is a perfectionist, like everyone who is passionate about their work.”

Matthew almost made Michael quit acting

family-ties-v

He starred in cult ’80s movies Teen Wolf and Back to the Future, but Michael J. Fox has confessed he almost gave up acting to become a builder … because he kept losing roles to Matthew Broderick.

“In 1982, I was desperate to have a job in LA,” Fox said at the recent Casting Society of America’s annual Artios Awards.

“I owed money, and my phone was cut off. I was selling sections of my sectional sofa. I was ready to go back to Canada and pick up nails on my brother’s construction site.”

But his luck changed at an audition for the show Family Ties.

‘They [initially] wanted Matthew Broderick,’ he admits. “He’d usually go in first for auditions, and you’d hear hands shaking. I was always losing jobs to Matthew Broderick.”

But not that time … And the rest, as they say, is history.

Michael Jordan’s big news

The sports legend, 50, is expecting his first child with wife Yvette Prieto, who he married earlier this year in a lavish ceremony attended by 500 people.

This will be his fourth child — he has three grown children with ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, whom he divorced in 2006 after 17 years of marriage.

Who knew they were friends?

Well fancy that! Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Aniston celebrated Thanksgiving together.

Jennifer Aniston’s manager, Aleen Keshishian, posted a pic of them cuddling on Instagram on Thursday.

And they have a friend in common: Jen’s former Friends costar Courteney Cox.

“My friend Courteney is nominated for a People’s Choice Award for favorite cable tv actress,” wrote earlier in the week. “She’s never won one before and she lets me [live] in her beach house so how’s about we all vote for her and win her the damn thang eh?”

Courtney responded: “You sweet thing!”

Sharon Osbourne has confessed during an interview on “The Graham Norton Show” that she has undergone numerous surgical procedures to maintain her youthful appearance, including getting her “vagina tightened”. She said it “was the worst” and “just excruciating.”

Muppets go Gaga

gaga-thanksgiving

Well here’s Lady Gaga as you’ve never seen her before – all slinky and old-world for a Thanksgiving duet with Joseph Gordon Levitt.

The singer starred in the  the Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular last week and managed to make Miss Piggy furious by flirting with Kermit The Frog,  sang ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ with Joseph, and dueted with Elton John on Benny And The Jetts.

“You’re my favourite girl you know that, how’ve you been my angel?” said Elton.

“You help me to stay inspired,” she replied.
