My groovy girls’ night in

I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to our local girls’ night in at my friend Margie’s house. Now Margie and her fellow dynamo Tanya don’t do anything by half measures. This isn’t a low-key popcorn and a movie night.

Here’s part of the invitation I was sent …

It’s so spesh there are even door bitches (actually my divine friend Penny, who is the furthest from a bitch you can get, but she did an awesome job regardless) ticking the 80 guests names off the list, ensuring they’ve paid and handing them a glass of pink champagne and a glow bracelet.

There are proper caterers (Mike and Stacey from Spice & Co) cruising the room offering delicious smoked salmon nibbles and yummy Moroccan meatballs. Plus suitably groovy retro nibbles on little tables dotted here and there …

There are gorgeous decorations.

There’s a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN in the backyard.

There’s a massuese and make-up artists.

There’s more champagne than you can poke a stick at … and which I poked way too many glasses at.

There are even goodie bags to take home.

And cupcakes (created by Pru Basser Catering – 0411 107 640) which my kids were very stoked to receive this morning.

It’s really quite fabulous.

So thank you for the invite girls. I had a brilliant night.

Here are the details on the initiative for anyone who’d like to make a donation to a very worthy cause.
