Oh dear! We have bush turkeys galore where we live too. They tend to run away though so no injuries sustained.
Get well soon! We have a brush turkey nesting in the garden. It’s a huge nest it has built starting with my compost. It keeps the bottom of the garden immaculately clean and so far, no attacks.
