I love weddings, especially Southern ones. They’re my new absolute favourite.
I don’t know what this says about me, but one of my favourite moments was having a good blub along with the groom as he said his vows.
Here are some blurry snaps I took on my phone of the day. (I’ll post some non blurry ones when I get back to Oz from our camera.) An awesome time was had by all until 10.30pm, when we caught a yellow school bus back to our hotel.
A white-suited Donnie excelled himself as the celebrant. The Southern grub served for dinner was delicious. The Bourbon lemonade was lethal. The dancing was a hoot. It was brilliant catching up with our old friends. The bride was gorgeous, so was the groom.
I will leave it to the snaps to tell the rest of the story …
Pre-wedding alcoholic lemonade and chippies.
The pre-wedding snack table and band
Another juazz band shot.
The groom and celebrant.
The bridge and her daddy.
They set up a typewriter for people to type messages to the happy couple. Cute!
It’s not a Southern wedding without tea – with a shot of bourbon? – in glass jars
A Badger with his tea
The “photo booth”
Awesome dancing to be had … including Gangnam Style … at a Southern wedding … felt a bit freaky
