Magic’s so proud of his gay son
Basketball legend Magic Johnson has spoken out in support of his gay son Earvin Johnson III – known as EJ – after he went public about his sexuality this week, holding hands with his boyfriend on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles as the paparazzi cameras clicked.
He reveals to TMZ.com in a new video that E.J came out to him six or seven years ago: “I told him, ‘Hey, we are here to support you, man. We’re going to love you no matter who you are, what you do. We just want you to love yourself.’ ”
And Magic is just as supportive of E.J’s decision that he was ready to share his sexuality with the world: “I love E.J. so much, that’s my main man. I think he really wanted to be out. But he was torn. … He just didn’t know how. He just said, ‘This is my moment. This is my time. I’m happy to share with the world who I am.’ And I said, ‘Go, E.J., go.’ This is a good moment for us as a family, and a greater moment for him. Now he’s just the bubbly kid we knew again. … I’m behind him a million percent. This is really wonderful for him.”
How cool is that?
Magic’s attitude might have something to do with him being a campaigner for gay rights since 1991, when he revealed he was HIV positive. There was speculation at the time the basketball star was gay or bisexual, but he confessed the disease was a result of having multiple sex partners.

Jada tackles those open marriage rumours
HuffPost Live has boldly asked Jada Pinkett-Smith about the longstanding rumor she and husband Will Smith have an open marriage.
Her answer: “No, I think that people get that idea because Will and I are very relaxed with one another. But …”
Don’t you love a but?
“I’ve always told Will: You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man,” she said of the Men in Black star. “I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that’s not for me to do for him,” she said, adding: “Or vice versa.”
Jen Garner: our marriage is just fine
Remember Ben Affleck‘s Oscars speech where he referred to “working on our marriage for 10 Christmases”, sparking speculation his marriage to Jennifer Garner was troubled?
Well the actress has told British newspaper The Telegraph that she was really touched by his words.
“I had a friend call and say, ‘Are you OK?'” she reveals. “I know Ben, I knew he meant it as the hugest, warmest compliment in the world,” Garner explained. “I think he was saying, ‘Look, what we have is really real and I value it above all and I’m in it with you and I know you are in it with me.’ That’s the way I took it.'”
“Poor guy,” she said. “It’s so horrible to put yourself out there — he didn’t have to worry about it from my point of view.”
But Jennifer, mother to their daughters Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Samuel, 13 months, admits her career has taken a back seat to her husband’s.
“I definitely work less because Ben is so busy but we have three kids, that’s just part of the deal,” she said. “I want to be a mom. I’m happy for him that he’s as energized about work right now as he is. He should be out there doing it. That’s just what makes sense for our family.”
Schools in Norway postpone exams for Biebs
Five schools in western Norway have moved their students midterm exams a week later so students can go and see Justin Bieber in concert on April 16 and 17 in Oslo.
Time reports that the five schools are 230 miles away from Oslo, so students would have to miss exams to drive to and from the concert. Norway’s education minister said: “I am concerned that students should be concentrating when they take tests and midterms. The local schools have the responsibility to schedule the local midterms, and if they think there is any reason to change the dates, they have authority to do so. We’ve all been 14-years-old and know that interests can be intense.”

Chelsea and Conan’s shower scene
Chelsea Handler is making celebrity shower fights a thing. Back in October, the late-night host went at it with Sandra Bullock in the Chelsea Lately studio showers. On Wednesday, Handler let the camera into the showers again, where she had a naked mano a mano with Conan O’Brien. The fight involves slapping (with multiple body parts), an argument over a parking space, and a pointed jab at Joan Rivers. Watch the (NSFW) video below!
Another adoption for Madonna?
Madonna has shared new photos of herself on Instagram, cuddling children at an orphanage in Malawi with her 16-year old daughter Lourdes Leon.
She captioned the above pic with: “Home of Hope Orphanage. Over 400 Rays of Light!”
Its lead to speculation that she may be considering expanding her family again.
Madonna arrived in the country by private jet earlier this week and intends to visit 10 school blocks she has funded around the country, starting with Nkoko Primary School in the tobacco-growing district of Kasungu.
Beyonce holds a dance-off … with herself
When Beyonce began to tease a big announcement on Wednesday, our hopes were pretty high. Would it be an album date? A new single? The opening of a Beyonce theme park? Sadly, our sky-high expectations were not met: The big event is a 30-second Pepsi commercial. But at least it’s a good Pepsi commercial.Watch it below!
