The shops may be closed for Good Friday, but House Goes Hollywood is still open for business. Here’s what’s on offer …
It’s a girl for Dax & Kristen!
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell have a baby daughter.
“Lincoln Bell Shepard is here,” Dax tweeted. “She has mom’s beauty and dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!”
Kristen’s plan for the delivery was right up my alley: “I want a glass of whiskey, I want the epidural in my back. I want to get hit in the face with a baseball bat and wake me up when it’s over, because I’ve seen the videos and it looks terrifying.”
On a sadder note, earlier this week Dax shared the moving story of how he introduced his dying father to his unborn child and a photograph of him placing his hand on Kristen’s swollen belly. Read about it here.
Kristen’s last bump pic
Only hours before giving birth, Kristen Bell tweeted a photo of her dog, Lola, cuddling up to her bump.
She captioned it: “Eavesdropping.”
Cute!
Kissing Brad Pitt was disgusting
Kirsten Dunst was only 11 when she starred opposite Brad Pitt in Interview with the Vampire and kissed him in one scene.
And she’s revealed it was far from a tween dream come true.
In an interview with Bullett magazine, Kirsten says that kiss was “just a peck,” and not a nice one. “Everyone at the time was like, ‘You’re so lucky you kissed Brad Pitt,’ but I thought it was disgusting.”
She also says she didn’t kiss anyone else again until she was 16 — presumably because she hated the experience so much.
Lindsay’s good girl
Here’s a first look at Lindsay Lohan‘s a guest spot on Charlie Sheen‘s comedy, Anger Management.
In the episode (slated to air this April), Lohan’s character develops a romantic relationship with Sheen’s after becoming his therapy patient.
In an interview with ET on the set, Charlie said: “I think she seems a lot more focused now than she was five, six months ago. There is a reason that I root for [her], because we fell in love with this little girl that was just an absolute genius and had this great light about her and that’s still there. You can’t extinguish that. I root for her because when you’re that talented it just doesn’t go away. Sometimes your appetites get in the way.”
A source also told TMZ she was a model performer. “Lindsay knew her lines cold and her timing was perfect. She was really funny.”
John’s botox confession
John Mayer has owned up to having loads of botox, but not for the reason you might think.
Rather than being a vanity procedure, his vocal cords were injected with botox by Dr Steven Zeitels, a laryngeal expert, as a radical procedure to help them heal.
John’s voice had been affected by constant touring and performing, plus a long period of acid-reflux exacerbated by poor diet and drinking.
The botox injections meant he spent long periods vocally paralysed.
He explains: “I was forced to type on my iPad to communicate anything. It wasn’t liberating. Is breaking your leg liberating? No. All complexity is gone when you don’t have a choice. I probably had contiguously three, maybe four months of not saying a word. The endurance was tough for me, but I started a new life.”
And fortunately, the treatment worked. He’s now preparing for a 40-city tour of the United States.
