HouseGoesHollywood: Jim slams gun lobby, Lindsay’s a flop, Kim denies massive weight gain

Celebs have been busy making pointed remarks and shooting comedy sketches, with mixed results and plenty of giggles.

Kim makes a point

Kim Kardashian has shared a close-up picture of her face on Twitter, covered in acupuncture needles.

She captioned the pic: “Oh just relaxing.”

At least it’s an improvement on the vampire facial pic she tweeted a few weeks ago.

In other KK news, she’s denied being distraught over her pregnancy body, as reported by several magazines. “There are maybe two or three covers just this week that say I am 200 pounds. I’m like, ‘You are 60 pounds off here!'” she laughed. “It wouldn’t even bother me if I gained all the weight. And I have the biggest sweet tooth and I love junk food. Being pregnant I don’t like any of it.”

Miranda is very flexible

Miranda Kerr appears to have completely recovered from her injuries resulting from a car accident two weeks ago.

And her dedication to yoga is on eye-widening display in a new ad for Reebok.

Josh’s jiggly with it

Josh Duhamel sports a fake baby bump for a hilarious skit with wife Fergie, with both donning matching dresses for a skit at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.

He jokes that his bump is bigger while singing “I gotta move, I gotta hurry, I gotta make time for Fergie … Go Fergie! Go Fergie!”

Fergie’s appearance at Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids Choice Awards marked her baby bump’s official red carpet debut.

More bad news for Lindsay

Not only has she been sentenced to 90 days in a rehab facility, but Lindsay Lohan’s new film InAPPropriate Weekend starring Michelle Rodriguez and Oscar-winner Adrien Brody has been a total flop at the box office.

IMDb describes it as comedy about what happens when “a computer tablet full of the world’s most hilariously offensive apps breaks through the borders of political correctness, stirring up cultural anarchy.” Frank Sheck at The Hollywood Reporter describes it as: “This painfully unfunny assemblage of would-be comedy sketches manages to make Movie 43 look good in retrospect.”

“Sometimes a movie is so awful that the word awful is not up to the task of conveying its awfulness,” writes Neil Genzlinger in his New York Times review.

In one terrible sketch, Adrien plays a character named Flirty Harry, a parody of Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry. Dressed in pink Capri pants, he says, “Go ahead, make me gay.” Meanwhile, Lindsay recreates Marilyn Monroe’s iconic subway-grate scene, shot from the subway grate’s point of view. In the scene, her Marilyn Monroe costume is accessorized by the ankle monitor she was forced by courts to wear while shooting.

But it’s not all bad news … Lindsay is filming an episode of Charlie Sheen‘s show Anger Management as we speak and actually turned up early to the set, which must be something of a record and impressive considering she’d been partying all weekend, clubbing in San Diego Friday night and in Santa Monica on Saturday night.

Jim slams gun lobby

Jim Carrey has made a satirical country and western song mocking the gun lobby.

Ahead of the video’s premiere online, he took to his Twitter page, writing: “Some ppl hate when i talk about guns so I decided to sing about it! Check out COLD DEAD HAND.

“Cold Dead Hand’ is abt u heartless motherf**kers unwilling 2 bend 4 the safety of our kids. Sorry if you’re offended by the word safety!”

In the video, he plays two roles: a singer called Lonesome Earl and late actor Charlton Heston, who was president of the NRA (National Rifle Association) before his death five years ago.

The song’s title, Cold Dead Hand, refers to a 2000 speech made by Charlton at an NRA convention that he would never give up his rifles and he would only relinquish his gun if it was removed “from my cold dead hands”.

Jim sings about gun vendors “profiteering from pain and fear”, claims God would “set the vultures and coyotes” on the arms vendors and warbles “They couldn’t press the gun from his cold dead hand. It takes a cold dead hand to decide to pull the trigger…with your cold dead anger trying to prove your d**k is bigger.”
