RiRi’s interview finally airs and it’s SCARY
While it was billed as “exclusive”, much of the excitement surrounding Rihanna’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was blown by constant leaks of all the juicy bits. Still, the gossip columns have found found stuff to dissect after the special aired last night …
Dlisted says: “We have maintained a very close friendship ever since the restraining order has been dropped” is a line I hope I never EVER have to say to anyone including Oprah’s ass, because DAMN. (“But Michael, don’t you hope that one day you can say that after Anderson Cooper drops the restraining order he has out against you?” – you “Like that’s ever going to happen.” – me “Good point.” – you)
“It’s nice that RiRi forgave Chris Brown and that her heart still poots out queefs of love in his name, but it’s kind of hard to forgive a bitch who isn’t sorry at all. If this was an interview between Oprah and Chris Brown and she asked him if he’s sorry for what he did, the next thing we’d hear is Gayle King running up with an ice pack after he headbutted Oprah for getting into his life like that. And usually headbutting an interviewer means that the answer to their question is: NO.”
Entertainment Weekly has written that it was “terribly sad to see Rihanna, a strong woman and sensational artist, say with tears in her eyes that ‘I think he was the love of my life.'”
Me, I’m still mulling over the fact she confessed: “I truly love him. The main thing for me is that he is at peace. You know, I’m not at peace if he’s a little unhappy or if he’s still lonely. I care.”
I don’t think I’d be feeling that way about someone who beat me up. But I’m lucky enough not to know for sure.
What I do know for sure is the stuff Rihanna said to Oprah is why women in abusive relationships often don’t get out. Fortunately the public nature of her problem forced Rihanna to stay away from her abuser. But who knows if she’ll stay away.
Please stay away Rihanna.
But she won’t, according to Hollywood Life: “Rihanna’s emotional August 19th Oprah interview made Chris Brown realize that they’re meant to be together! The 23-year-old singer texted Rihanna after he watched her cry on national television and apologized and confessed his love to her. “Afterwards he got some water and was like ‘you know I love her and we’re going to get back [together] one day.’ After that, he sent her a text and thanked her for respecting him on the interview and he told her we was sorry for everything and that he loves her,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.”
Rosie writes a poem: My Heart Attack
Rosie O’Donnell has written a poem on her blog about having a heart attack last week at age 50. Just in case poetry gives you brain freeze, the gist of it is that she got a stent in her heart and her life was saved by a TV ad that suggested she take aspirin.

RIP Phyllis Diller
Phyllis Diller has passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was 95. (Phyllis is pictured with Rosie in the item above)
In the 1960s and ’70s, the iconic comedian was a guest on shows like The Tonight Show, The Flip WilsonShow, and Laugh-In. I’ve kind of heard of some of those. More recently, she appeared in movies such as A Bug’s Life as well as TV shows such as Family Guy, 7th Heaven, and The Drew Carey Show.
“She was a true pioneer,” her longtime agent Fred Wostbrock told Entertainment Weekly. “She was the first lady of stand-up comedy. She paved the way for everybody. And she conquered television, movies, Broadway, record albums, nightclubs, books, and radio. She did it all. A true pioneer.”
Top Gun director commits suicide
Tony Scott, director of Top Gun, Days of Thunder and Crimson Tide has committed suicide by jumping off a bridge in Los Angeles.
A source close to him told ABC News it was because he had inoperable brain cancer, but his family are disputing the claim. TMZ is reporting: What’s more … we’re told Scott’s wife says Tony did not have any other severe medical issues that would have caused him to take his own life.”
An autopsy is currently being performed.
“Tony was my dear friend and I will really miss him,” said Tom Cruise in a statement. Cruise, who starred in Top Gun and Days of Thunder added, “He was a creative visionary whose mark on film is immeasurable. My deepest sorrow and thoughts are with his family at this time.”
