I’m turning 58 on March 17. Bloody hell. It must be a mistake. I can’t be two years off turning 60.
Anyways, you’ll never guess how I’m celebrating …
No really, you’ll never guess.
I’m going to an Extraordinary General Meeting of my body corporate.
Woo-hoo! Go me!
As secretary of the body corporate, I could have changed the date, but that was the strata manager’s first available slot. We have urgent business to attend to, so I decided it was best to take what we could get.
We are trying to get the owners to agree on an exciting new bylaw. Can’t say too much, but it could be a game changer if we get it over the line.
The meeting starts at 6pm and I’m hoping it will be relatively short so there’s time to raise a glass with my boyfriend or sister.
I was chipped by someone during our weekend away for calling DD my boyfriend. Apparently it’s not the done thing at our age, we should call significant others “my partner”. Apparently. Whatever.
But it wasn’t all slapping on the wrist. We also discussed potential European destinations to visit en masse next year. As is always the way with big groups, it is likely be impossible to agree on something, but I’m angling for Iceland.
It’s been a looooong time since I travelled to Europe and it’s a loooooooong way to go for a holiday and it costs sooooooooo much money to holiday there, but I suppose I need to bite the bullet sometime.
And the year after that will be my big 6-0, which I would like to celebrate on a Solomon Islands expedition cruise … if Ponant would hurry up and decide it’s running one. Honestly, it’s two years out guys, get your act together, I need to plan.
Sixty. Blimey.
PS The pic is from Ponant’s Iceland cruise, which I would also like to do one day …
