Ducks in a row

What did you get up to on the weekend?

I cancelled my Disney+ subscription, which required me to confirm I didn’t want to change my mind, then offered me a discount to stay, then requested an explanation for why I was cancelling.

It gave me great satisfaction to say “I support free speech”.

I will miss watching ‘Welcome to Wrexham’. I enjoy hearing all the stories of the townsfolk, although I find Ryan Reynolds oddly blank in it.

I binged a few episodes before my cancellation took effect – was that hypocritical of me?

I got very excited during one episode when I thought Ryan was sitting on a doppelganger of my couch. I later realised mine has more stitching, but hey, close.

On Saturday morning my friend Fee and I went to North Sydney Markets, which was lovely – filled with so many gorgeous fresh food stalls.

I bought fresh berries and Fee bought lots of Irish bread. I’d have lashed out on more but I was heading up to DD’s place that afternoon, via the vet for Bilbo’s vaccination.

We had friends staying from Newie on Saturday night and we took them to a few of our favourite haunts.

We kicked off with drinks at a little neighbourhood bar called Mrs Robertson’s, then had dinner at our local Italian.

The weather was knock-out gorgeous on Sunday morning, so we went on a tour of our favourite scenic spots from Newport to Palm Beach.

We even ran into the Sandhill Warrior at Palm Beach, who added a touch of celebrity to the day, since he’s currently a model for M.J Bale. wearing a fabulous cream three-piece suit. Screenshot below…

I have a big week ahead. I will tell you about it retrospectively once all the ducks are in a row. So I will be a bit sporadic in my blogging due to cabin luggage restrictions.

Song of the day: Elvis “A little less conversation” (one of my all-time fave songs)
