The beginning is always a good place …
Since I last blogged I have done unprecedented things.
For example, I went to my first rugby league game.
This was accidental. I was offered free tickets to the Roosters versus the Bulldogs match on Friday night and got excited about treating DD to watching his favourite team play at Allianz Stadium.
But I got my animals confused.
DD’s favourite team is the Bunnies. Red and green. Not the Roosters. Red and blue.
Oooops.
It was an exciting game nonetheless – the Roosters beat the odds and won. This really annoyed a lot of Bulldogs fans, who started pouring out of the stadium about 10 minutes before the match ended, in anticipation of their team’s defeat.
Poor Bulldogs.

I smiled for the camera before the match started, but had very little idea about what was going on after that.
I was also shocked by the way everyone kept booing the opposition.
On Saturday I went for two walks and an open for inspection for a nice apartment I can’t afford.
DD came over to help me buy an indoor Karcher for all the hard surfaces that I avoid cleaning.
He also tackled my incredibly filthy balcony (not with the Karcher). In the early afternoon he downed tool to pick his brother-in-law up from the airport, then we went out for dinner together on the Northern Beaches.
The boys also joined us at DD’s in their matching red jumpers …

The next morning, after grabbing DD a coffee and a Sunday paper, I hooned back to my place and spent fruitless hours trying to steam mould out of my travertine bathroom tiles (never lay travertine floor tiles on your bathroom floor, they are a menace) while DD finished off cleaning my balcony.
I also ducked up to Pillow Talk to buy a coverlet because I am OVER trying to get my doona to stay smooth in the doona cover … and also purchased my first-ever throw.
I was inspired by how gorgeously styled my sister’s bedroom is and wanted to be a decor queen like her.
Endless Karchering of the bathroom tiles continued after that, before I finally and very wanly collapsed on the couch feeling like this …

Except that I was too tired to do the grocery shopping and the fridge was bare, so I microwaved a handful of cold takeaway chips from lunch for my dinner.
They were much tastier fresh.
How was your weekend?
