Yesterday’s looooooong work shift ended up being quite fun.
I was on duty at a business events showcase that gave event planners the opportunity to sample amazing experiences and destinations on offer across regional NSW.
It was stressful at the beginning because I had to find people to be interviewed for a video and ask them questions.
This was a nuanced task for someone who is an introverted extrovert. Or extroverted introvert, I can never remember the order.
I arrived as the event was being set up and scoped the room before the videographer and photographer arrived. Then I hustled around for the next few hours acting super professional in my black suit.
After the final interview was filmed, I tried crocodile for the first time – on a blini, as you do – and made a new bestie.
This is Harriet from Husk Distillery …

Harriet is an awesome chick and we hit it off. She’s heading to Mexico in a few weeks to drink mezcal with her mates. Lucky woman.

She served me a sample of the most delicious cocktail called the Cane Fields. It featured Husk Pure Cane rum, mango, roasted macadamia, recycled lemon syrup and lime. It’s available at their Cellar Door in Tumbulgum, NSW.
It is fabulous.

There was also an amazing performance by Ella Havelka, the first Aboriginal dancer to join the Australian Ballet.
As for the crocodile, it tasted a bit like chewy smoked trout.
What a way to end a busy day!
I am limping through to the weekend. I’ve given myself a mouth ulcer from the stress overload. Poor me.
Song of the day: Divinyls “Pleasure and pain”
the DIVINYLS!!!!!
