My sister stayed with me last night and we had an unexpectedly fun time exploring the suburb that I’ve lived in for the past few years.
I say unexpectedly because I don’t tend to go out much locally. I mostly head up DD’s way. When I’m at home I tend to cook something for myself.
We took our combined four dogs for a walk around the block, then went to a local Middle Eastern place called Wafire for the most delicious meal – a mixed plate of grilled meats with hummus, plus roasted cauliflower with tahina, pinenuts, grapes and pomegranate.

Sooooo good.
Then we wandered across the road to a sports bar called Wingmill for a glass of Chardy.
Equally fun, with an excellent retro playlist.
Then we took the four dogs for another walk and resolved we’d head to a different local joint tonight for dinner because we are totally knackered and sick of cooking.
It was bulk fun to explore my hood with my sister. Can’t wait to do it again.
PS The main pic features the sisters having bulk fun as kiddos. Now we’re in our 50s! How did that happen?

PPS Meanwhile DD sipped wine without me in Vienna in the afternoon sun.
