What’s cooking?

What’s cooking? Meeeeeee!

Blimey it was muggy yesterday. My office is having air conditioning issues so I felt like I was boiling alive for most of the day.

Couple that with exhaustion from Tuesday night’s insomnia plus having thrown my hip out while hauling my chockers granny trolley of groceries up three flights of stairs to my apartment and I was a bit of a sight as I shuffled sweatily around the office floor.

After work I ducked next door to the pub for a quick rooftop drink with my friend Kim who was down from Newie for a networking event.

We only had an hour together, but it was so lovely to catch up while sipping pink wine.

Then I headed home to make taco salad for the eldest’s second last dinner living under my roof.

The day concluded with me emailing my Binding Death Benefit Nomination to my solicitor. What a cheery name for a form!

Things went a bit pear-shaped during the night and my hip has totally packed it in. I got out of bed to take some Nurofen and the pain was so blergh that it took me about 30 minutes to get back in.

I am finally lying down, considering next steps, not that I can step …

I have no idea how I will walk the dogs.

Bloody middle age.

Song of the day: The Power Station “Some like it hot”
