My modelling career

The rest of me isn’t catwalk worthy, but my hands starred in the Sunday Telegraph’s Sydney Eat Street Instagram story last night.

I have arrived.

The event was the combined launch of Primi Italian’s bar and a newly arrived Italian wine range called Casale Del Giglio.

Primi Italian is a restaurant on Clarence Street in Sydney CBD.

Casale del Giglio was founded in 1967 by Dr Berardino Santarelli, a native of the Apennine hill town of Amatrice. The estate lies between the towns of Aprilia and Latina in the Agro Pontino valley, some 50kms. south of Rome. (I got that straight from the PR spiel, can you tell?)

I was beyond exhausted due to a gaggle of noisy teenagers having a sleepover, so I was very not in the mood to catch the bus into town for a function.

I begged my sister to join me to minimise the requirement to talk to strangers and also catch up with her before she goes on hols.

Primi Italian was going off like a sock on a Monday night. We were amazed by how packed it was.

We also made a few new friends along the way and tried lots of food and wine.

Although you had to wait until all the new influencers had taken a gazillion photos of each dish before you could eat it, which was a bit hangry-making.

Primi won the ClubNSW Perfect Plate Award in the Eastern Metropolitan Division for their signature dish: Blue Swimmer Crab Handmade Ravioli. We didn’t get to try that, but there were plenty of other delicious morsels to sample.

And I nabbed a box of leftover pizza to take home to the hungry hordes.

Win, win.

Today, however, feels very lose, lose, because DD heads to Philadelphia for a week for work.

Sad face.

Song of the day: The Beatles “Lady Madonna” (the song I can’t get out of my head after the Paul McCartney concert on Friday night)

  1. patently waiting for the new Beatle tune later this week…..just before Christmas?…I always feel sorry for anyone that releases a new album the same time of a new Beatles re-issue…I think they’d even knock Taylor Swift off the charts…..and yes a new Rolling Stones album…the 4 mop tops still rule…
and a sad story, I actually corked a bottle of wine yesterday…grrrrrrrrr
