Thank you for all the best wishes on my new job. It still feels a bit surreal.
As does my next piece of news.
Since I seem to only be capable of going at one speed – way too fast – I have been spending this week getting my house ready for an open for inspection.
Blimey, it has been HELL. The worst part was cleaning the kids’ Trainspotting-like bathroom. That was disgusting.
I may have to pull and all-nighter on Friday to get it all done.
I’ve been prompted by a sale across the street and a few potential buyers who missed out … oh and also because I don’t have the time or inclination to clean this big house and maintain the garden.
If the prospective buyers aren’t interested on Saturday, I’ll stick around a bit longer and get the youngest through the HSC. No biggie. And at least I’ll have a clean house … briefly, before the kids defile it again.
DD has been an absolute legend helping me with the prepping. It’s nearly killed us both. I need two Nurofen each night to dull the pain in my ageing body so I can sleep.
In the meantime, no blog post tomorrow. Not because I’m busy cleaning, but it’s DD’s birthday today. I’ve been teasing him mercilessly that he only has one year to go until he’s eligible for a Seniors Card.
How on earth did that happen?
I’ll update you on our celebrations next week.
Have a fab weekend.
