I hope you have the most lovely weekend with friends, family, loved ones …
I’m heading off on a blogging break … although, I’ve said that before and not managed to tear myself away.
But I’m going to try really hard not to touch a keyboard for a week.
It’s been a long, busy year and I’m ready for a bit of R&R.
It’s also been an totally wonderful year, as a gift from DD showed me yesterday. He’d put together a photo album filled with memories of 2016: we’ve been lucky to enjoy so many beautiful moments together as a couple this year.
I had an early Christmas with my family yesterday, as I’m spending tomorrow with my ex’s clan down on the South Coast.
The 10-year-old, bless her, was still young enough to be stoked about wearing a glittering Santa skirt and matching hat while she helped her cousin hand out gifts.
She was even more stoked to be given a bicycle. She spotted it in an Aldi catalogue and fell totally in love. My parents, sister and I all chipped in to buy it for her. It’s pale blue with a cane basket on the front. Oh, the badgering I’ve received over that bike.
My sister put on a glorious spread of prawns and ham and chocolate pavlova, then the kids headed off with their dad and I headed home to get the house into half reasonable shape for the dog sitters.
Thank you for all your love and support this year.
Catch you on the eve of 2017!
