I spend a lot of time trawling the internet every day, looking for inspiration for “travel fluff” stories for escape.com.au. And yesterday I stumbled across something I just have to share with you. Back in 2011, a Japanese artist collaborative known as Kingyobu started turning Osaka’s old, obselete phone booths into giant goldfish aquariums.
How awesome are these pics?
Song of the day: Stevie Nicks “Landslide”
I took my love and took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Till the landslide brought me downOh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?Well, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older tooWell, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older too
Oh, I’m getting older tooI take my love, take it down
I climb a mountain and turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Will the landslide bring you down
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Will the landslide bring you down, oh, oh
The landslide bring you down
Just beautiful…in a whole lot of ways!
I really must get to grips with that old guitar in the spare room…
I always wished I’d learned to play the guitar.
