Alyssa’s baby body blast
Alyssa Milano is sick of the pressure put on Hollywood mums to lose their baby weight.
She’s told the audience at a Huggies Snug & Dry and Baby2Baby‘s Mother’s Day Garden Party event that she prefers to focus on spending time with her son, Milo, aged 20 months, rather than shedding kilos.
“I just was very kind to myself and gave myself a lot of time. No pressure,” she says. “I find any sort of weight loss is about eating less and moving more, so I just did that and took my time.”
“Our bodies are not made to look good in a string bikini! Our bodies are made to nurture and cuddle and all of those amazing things that come along with being a mom.”
Reese speaks out: “I am so sorry”
Reese Witherspoon has given her first interview since she and husband Jim Toth were arrest for disorderly conduct and DUI respectively two weeks ago.
She tells Good Morning America: “We went out to a restaurant in Atlanta, and we had one too many glasses of wine. We thought we were fine to drive and we were absolutely not, and we are so sorry and just so embarrassed.” She added, “We know better and we shouldn’t have done that.”
Reese blames “poor judgment” for her decision not to call a cab.”We made a mistake, and it was something that will absolutely never happen again.”
She also admits that she was rude to the police offer who pulled them over: “I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It’s just unacceptable.”
Acknowledging a pitfall of her professional, she wrly admits: “I played a lawyer in a movie so many times I think I am a lawyer. And clearly I’m not a lawyer, because I got arrested.”
“I have no idea what I was saying. That night I saw him arresting my husband, and I panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things. I said I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant. I said crazy things. I had no idea what I was talking about.”
For her, the “hardest part” was telling daughter Ava, xx, and son Deacon, xx, what happened. “When you make a mistake, you take responsibility, and we are taking responsibility, and we are doing everything within our power to make it right.”

Gwyneth’s marriage woes
Gwyneth Paltrow has confessed to Glamour UK‘s June issue that she’s gone through “terrible times” during her 10-year marriage to Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
“It’s hard being married,” she admits. “You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We’re the same as any couple.”
“I asked my dad once, ‘How did you and Mom stay married for 33 years?'” she tells the mag. “And he said, ‘Well, we never wanted to get divorced at the same time.'”
“I think that’s what happens. When two people throw in the towel at the same time, then you break up, but if one person’s saying, ‘Come on, we can do this,’ you carry on.”
“I’m a very grounded, homey person, and Chris is a very mad scientist, genius songwriter,” she adds. “So I never say, ‘Where are you? You should be home by now.’ I never place demands on him because I think he’s a really talented man and he’s putting something good into the world.”
PS On the subject of getting through the bad times, Gwyneth was VERY embarrassed earlier this week during an interview with Chelsea Handler. At one point, Chelsea praised Gywneth saying: “She’s an amazing advice-giver,” Handler said, relating an anecdote from a recent dinner party. “One of her friends is like ‘I got into a big fight with my husband and I went home and I just wanted to scream and yell.’ And you were like, ‘Whatever you’re doing, do the opposite. If you feel angry, go at him with love and you give him a blow job.'”
“Oh my God. What if my mother sees this show?” Paltrow laughed, embarrassed.
So, there you go, relationship advice from Gwyneth: never place demands on your man and give him blow jobs when you’re angry.
Lindsay’s latest drama
Lindsay Lohan has done it again: prosecutors are up in arms after she rejected her approved rehab facility – the Seafield Center in New York – at the last minute because it wouldn’t allow her to smoke and announced she was checking into Morningside Recovery in California instead.
As yet she hasn’t walked through the doors, despite her lawyers telling the angry judge “She is ensconced in the bosom of that facility right now.”
Even if she does, it’s unlikely the judge will let her stay because, as TMZ discovered: “We’ve learned in November, 2011 Morningside’s license was suspended for being careless with prescription drugs and operating beyond the scope of its license. After a full hearing in 2012, the California Dept. of Alcohol and Drug Programs REVOKED Morningside’s license outright.”
At this time, the court has decreed it will giving prosecutors a week to investigate the facility.
It’s not looking good for Ms Lilo …
Portia’s 40th birthday blues
Portia De Rossi has opened up to L.A. Confidential magazine about her angst over turning 40.
“I was like, 40? Who cares? Then I woke up the next morning and I went, ‘F**k, I’m 40!’ All of a sudden the [birthday] party’s over: What does it mean to be 40?’
“It’s an interesting milestone because it does ask for a little self-reflection. It asks where you’ve been, are you happy with what you’ve done, where do you want to go, and what do you want to change?
“I’m never going to look the way I looked when I was 20, and I’m kind of happy about that. I look different, but I’m also growing into the kind of sophisticated-looking woman that I’ve always wanted to be.
“I used to look at women like Diane von Furstenberg and Isabella Rossellini and hope I could be elegant and sophisticated and know how to live life a little bit better and wear that kind of self-esteem.
“Hell, I don’t know … I’m in flip-flops, but I’m hoping one day I will understand and feel that way!”
