HouseGoesHollywood: Gwyneth starves her kids, Jada supports Rihanna, Rebel straddles Channing

I’m really hoping this first gossip story of the day is a beat-up, because otherwise – what the what?

Has Gwyneth put her kids on diet?

The Daily Mail is reporting that Gwyneth Paltrow starves her kids of carbohydrates.

“Miss Paltrow, 40, said that that she avoids feeding pasta, bread or rice to Apple, eight, and Moses, six, because it is bad for them, even though they are left ‘craving’ the food.

“Her decision was based on the fact that everyone in her house – including husband Chris Martin – is supposedly intolerant of gluten, dairy and chicken’s eggs.

“In her new cookbook, called It’s All Good, which is released next month, Miss Paltrow devotes an entire chapter to grains but is deeply sceptical about them.

“She writes: ‘Every single nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person I have ever come across . . . seems to concur that (gluten) is tough on the system and many of us are at best intolerant of it and at worst allergic to it.

“Sometimes when my family is not eating pasta, bread or processed grains like white rice, we’re left with that specific hunger that comes with avoiding carbs.”

Gwyneth, say it isn’t so.

Jada’s bullying plea

Jada Pinkett Smith has taken to her Facebook page to defend Justin Bieber and Rihanna.

She wrote: “This last week, I had to really evaluate the communication in regard to our young artists in the media. I was trying to differentiate cyber-bullying from how we attack and ridicule our young stars through media and social networks. It is as if we have forgotten what it means to be young or even how to behave like good ol’ grown folk. Do we feel as though we can say and do what we please without demonstrating any responsibility simply because they are famous?”

Here’s what she had to say about Justin: “Is it okay to continually attack and criticize a famous 19 year old who is simply trying to build a life, exercise his talents while figuring out what manhood and fame is all about as he carries the weight of supporting his family as well as providing the paychecks to others who depend on him to work so they can feed their families as well?”

As for Rihanna: “Or what about being a young woman in her early twenties, exploring the intracacies of love and power on the world stage? And should we shame a young woman for displaying a sense of innocence as she navigates through the murky waters of love, heartbreak, and fame? Are these young people not allowed to be young, make mistakes, grow, and eventually transform a million times before our eyes? Are we asking them to defy the laws of nature because of who they are? Why can’t we congratulate them for the capacity to work through their challenges on a world stage and still deliver products that keep them on top.”

Justin for one was thrilled with her support, tweeting “you are the best!!” to her.

Kelly’s clean bill of health

Kelly Osbourne has finally been released from the hospital … five days after suffering a seizure on the set of E!’s “Fashion Police.”

“After a five-day hospital stay, Kelly Osbourne has returned home and has been given a clean bill of health by her doctor,” her rep told E! News.

“Doctors ran numerous tests and determined that this was most likely a onetime episode of which there are no conclusive results. She is looking forward to returning to Fashion Police this week and getting back to business and life as usual.”

Meanwhile, Kelly tweeted: “Thank you to all the Doctors Nurses Medical Staff & Employees @CedarsSinai Hospital for fixing me enough to go home its so nice to bein bed!”

But her mum admits she’s still on medication. “Kelly is doing fine and has asked me to thank everybody who sends their love to her and have reached out to her,” said Sharon Osbourne. “So many people. And we all believe in the power of positive thinking and sending good vibes. We strongly believe in it, and the Osbournes, we want to thank everyone. And I thank her doctors and I thank everyone at Cedars. And she’s on medication. She’s fine, nobody knows why she had it. [They] can’t figure out a reason why, but she is fine and naughty.”

Gatsby is great again

There was talk Baz Lurhmann‘s latest movie, The Great Gatsby, was a dud after its release was pushed back.

But the film – which stars Leonardo Di Caprio – has received a huge boost with the news it’s been chosen to open the Cannes Film Festival.

“It is a great honour for all those who have worked on The Great Gatsby to open the Cannes Film Festival,” said Baz.

And going by the second trailer released for the film, looks like a winner to me. Watch it below.

Rihanna strips for charity

Rihanna has lent her support to Red Nose Day in her own unique fashion – posing without pants.

She’s been photographed in a Red Nose Day T-shirt designed by Stella McCartney, who tweeted: ‘Thank you @Rihanna for supporting @rednoseday! You’re the best x Stella #RND.’

Rebel puts the moves on Channing

MTV Movie Awards host Rebel Wilson uses a cliched Hollywood pursuit as an excuse to straddle her man crush, Channing Tatum, in a new promo for the telecast.

In the clip, Channing is seen driving a car as it’s being showered with bullets, he says to passenger Rebel: “Take the shot, we’re running out of time. Let’s go.”

But she uses it as an excuse to climb onto his lap, telling him: “I cant get a good angle. I’ve got to get to the side.  Tense those abs. Oh yeah this is good. This is a better position. They’re gaining on us, take your shirt off.”
