Hugh’s Oscar plea – in song!
Hugh Jackman has been making mischief on The Late Show with David Letterman, turning up dressed as Abraham Lincoln and singing the opening line of the Gettysburg Address – to prove that he deserves the Oscar for Best Actor more than Lincoln star Daniel Day-Lewis.
“The truth is, I wanted to sway a few last-minute Oscar voters. I’ll be honest. I mean, really, can Daniel Day-Lewis do this?” said Hugh, who’s nominated for his performance as Jean Valjean in the musical Les Misérables.

Josh & Diane announce divorce
Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are divorcing, eight years after they tied the knot.
“Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage,” their rep revealed.
An insider told US magazine: “It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”
The pair split several months ago. They have no children together.
The marriage had its share of dramas. Four months after their wedding, Josh was charged with spousal battery of Diane. He was released after posting $20,000 bail. Back in early January, Josh was arrested for public intoxication and spent seven hours in jail.

Rihanna has celebrated her 25th birthday in Hawaii with Chris Brown.
The couple were photographed walking on the beach, holding hands and cuddling on the sand.
Later in the day, Rihanna posted a pic of herself in a limo with Chris, captioned: “#Pour it up pour it up! #birthdaybehavior”.
So much for giving him the cold shoulder after he was spotted partying with his ex, Karrueche Tran.
Kelly’s shame injury
Kelly Osbourne has made an embarassing confession on Twitter: “Got my shoe stuck in a bathroom drain. I was faced w/ spraining my ankle or eating the toilet! Guess what I picked? I just could not bare the thought of my face landing in a public toilet! However I’m now questioning my decision due to the pain!!!!”
She accompanied the tweet with a pic of her leg in a brace. Later in the evening, she posted another shot with a back scratcher: “I have the worlds best BF He just went out at 11pm to get me this extendable leggy scratcher It even matches my hair.”

Gaga’s hospital bed message to fans
Lady Gaga has written a thank-you letter to fans, posted on her Little Monsters website as she was wheeled into surgery to repair a labral tear in her right hip
“Thank You Monsters, You really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you’ve shared with me about your lives. Meeting you backstage, reading your letters, watching you communicate with fans from around the globe to form a community that supports one another–You have completely blown my mind. As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles — sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. I wonder how it’s even possible. So I thought to myself, I’m alive, I’m living my dream, and this is just a bump in the road. I’m grateful because this is temporary, and for some it is not. You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives. If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything. Love, Gaga”
Mel B’s new gig
In another defection from Aussie reality TV, Mel B has been announced as the new judge of America’s Got Talent, replacing Sharon Osbourne.
Mel was a judge on The X Factor and also hosted Dancing with the Stars in Australia. She had even discussed her desire to become an Australian citizen, but packed up and left the country recently.
Keith Urban also cut his judging teeth on Aussie TV with a role on The Voice and scored himself a gig on American Idol out of it.
