What the agent said

My favourite real estate agent popped over yesterday to give me some advice on my itchy feet.

I don’t know why I’m so restless. I’ve been this way my whole home-owner life. I bought my first place in Petersham when I was 25 and I’ve been selling properties ever since.

In the 10 years that followed getting my first place, I bought and sold apartments in East Sydney, Bondi and Hunters Hill, plus an investment property in Newcastle.

All long gone now, with another three flips under my belt.

The urge to sell burns inside me. I spend hours each day combing real estate sites.

The agent who visited yesterday sold my last place. One open for inspection. No marketing costs. Brilliant.

It won’t be that easy this time. Different times, different market.

He said my apartment looked great, but would need to be decluttered if I decided to sell it.

Sorry, what?

So much for all my hard work over the weekend getting it ready! I thought it WAS decluttered!

Sigh.

While my feet are super itchy, I’m freaking out about what to do. Should I stay or should I go?

The apartment is looking so nice and tidy and spacious.

Why would I put myself through the pain of a sales campaign, another move and stamp duty.

Why is it that I never settle down for very long?

Will I ever find my forever home?

Enough questions from me for one blog post. Have a fabulous weekend and I’ll catch you next week.

Song of the day: The Clash “Should I stay or should I go”
