Missing in action

After all my excitement about the eldest coming home, we haven’t laid eyes on each other since the airport.

We were both out on Wednesday night and we weee supposed to have a belated birthday dinner together last night. But the eldest had forgotten about having tickets to an art school graduate show in the city.

So I drove to DD’s with the dogs as he’s kindly agreed to mind them for me tonight. I’m dashing up to Newcastle to see my sister for her birthday.

It’s predicted to be 36C today and 38C on Saturday so it’s going to be a steamy trip!

On Saturday arvo I will head back to DD’s for a brief catch up after hardly seeing each together in recent weeks.

On Sunday night I’m hoping to finally have dinner with the eldest.

Then the whirl of another pre-Christmas week will begin.

Crazy time of year.

Not quite sure when the Christmas shopping will get done.
