Total chaos

I know it’s boring to talk about the weather …but Sydney just recorded its wettest September day in almost 150 years.

Far out!

And it caused total chaos.

Heaps of vehicles were caught in flash flooding, including a light rail vehicle stuck on Anzac Parade.

Over in Beecroft, a worker saved three large fish stranded on a road by scooping them into a traffic cone and retuning them to the river.

On Wednesday afternoon, the weather became so intense that two tornadoes developed in the South West.

The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that one formed north west of Young and another was spotted near Caragabal.

This is one of them …

I’ve also seen a video of it whirling across the plains, ripping up trees as it goes. Luckily it wasn’t near any houses or people.

Apparently the massive deluge was fed by abnormally warm conditions in the Tasman Sea and a rapidly weakening polar vortex spiralling over Antarctica.

I was very not thrilled to battle the weather during my morning commute yesterday.

But by early afternoon it was all blue skies and nothing to see here.

Poor DD spent yesterday mopping up silt on the lower floor of his place, I arrived home to a diarrhea explosion by Charlie the Moodle that covered an extensive amount of the living room.

So we both had to clean up brown messes.

Fortunately it was bin night.

And finally it’s Friday! Have a great weekend.
