I remembered to go to the dentist yesterday. Woo-hoo!
Apparently there are a few fine cracks in my molars and I have some old fillings that might need to be replaced, but my gums are going great guns.
The dentist asked how I’d gone with the orthodontist she referred me to. I told her I’d decided against spending $10,000 to get my snaggle tooth straightened, but might change my mind if I win the lottery.
On my way back to the office I finally tried a Malay-Chinese takeaway place I’ve been eyeing off. I don’t usually take a lunch break, so I treated myself to a chicken curry.
It was evilly good when I ate it after the designated wait-30-minutes-after-fluoride mandate. It would perhaps have been even better if I’d rinsed the last of the fluoride taste out of my mouth first.
Ah, well, next time …
And that’s about as exciting as yesterday got.
Surely I have something more interesting to tell you? Hmmmm … no.
Forgive this blog post about nothing.
Oh! I met the new Vivid Sydney Festival Director yesterday. He’s an AO and has led four of Australia’s premier arts organisations – Sydney Festival, Adelaide Festival, Melbourne Festival and Melbourne Theatre Company.
That’s quite the daunting pedigree, but he seemed like a thoroughly nice, down-to-earth bloke and it will be exciting to watch him evolve the event.
Insomnia continues to be a bitch, so I’m wearily counting down the days until the weekend. It’s currently devoid of any social engagements. Bring it.
