I’ve been banned

I went to see my physio Brian yesterday and asked if I was cleared for exercise.

Brian said no.

I had been thinking pilates, perhaps.

Brian said definitely nooooooo.

He reckons I need to wait about a month before tackling anything like that.

So it’s sang choi bau in lettuce leaf cups for me as I try to stave off middle aged spread with sloth and light stretches.

Yesterday got off to a good start. DD and I woke early and went to Avalon headland to sip double shot flat whites and watch the sun rise.

The clouds were too low so the sky wasn’t very colourful, but I’ve never met a sunrise I don’t like, so I was happy.

About the only other exciting thing that happened yesterday is that DD and I went to two Bunnings stores in search of pavers and pool fencing.

Neither of us have a pool or any desire for one, but I’ve convinced him to properly fence his deck so the dogs can’t escape.

Currently a rusted old piece of dog fence sits across the middle of his nice, expansive deck, messing with the beach house vibe.

The new fencing will skirt the perimeter and have a proper gate and latch. Exciting!

Oh and the pavers are for a BBQ area – he’s in full, outdoor area renovation mode.

PS Here’s a where’s wally-style photo of me at that Taylors Wines event I went to last week where I stood up for too long and couldn’t sit down again afterwards because my lower spine and the muscles around it went on strike.

Song of the day: Madagascar “I like to move it”
