Guess what? I wrote a review of my Coral Expeditions cruise to Hobart for one of my travel agents (I have somehow acquired two, one for luxury expeditions and one for more adventurous expeditions), and Coral Expeditions saw it.
They added a pic of us and a link to the review to their weekly newsletter. Ooooh-er! Cruise writer fame!

Speaking of cruises, I thought I’d share the full-length version of my chosen airport outfit for my next adventure. The pants and bag diverge from the neutral and sage theme, but my luggage is navy, so I reckon I can cope.

The rundown: four-seasons-old Witchery pants, last season on sale Adidas sneakers, $10 white linen-blend Kmart singlet, new Cindy G linen shirt jacket, two-seasons-old Zjoosh handbag, almost-57-year-old model.
I am super happy with the ensemble, Although, after examining this picture, the jacket could do with a bit of a steam.
My friend Megz commented on my post yesterday saying: “I love how u are actually going to purchase clothes… in a special colour… to go away…
“If I leave home, its in 1 of many mostly black tshirts with shorts, 3 qtr pants or jeans – depending on the weather & situation… but never anything new… my shirts r worn til they fall apart. & when I pack to go away, that’s what I take. Haha.”
I know it sounds a bit loopy that I create holiday wardrobes, but as I said to Megz, fashion is my weakness. Not high-end, expensive stuff. I just love putting outfits together and finding the perfect items.
I am completely disinterested in beauty products and fancy gadgets and car upgrades and flowers and so many other things, but finding the perfect white singlet for $10 … ah, joy!

My whale shark stinger suit has also arrived, which looks fabulous, though I remain slightly worried about being the butt of whale shark jokes when I wear it, as I won’t look anything like the pretty, young thing in the photo above.
I ordered a stinger hood and gloves from another website at a bargain price and when they arrived I was reminded that you get what you pay for because the hood is a bit short on fabric and may expose my neck to stingers.
So I’ll have to go back online and get a more expensive one.
As for my back injury … I had to cancel going to work yesterday because I was in so much pain, which remained at about a level 6 for most of the day despite anti-inflammatories and a heat massager.
Blaaaaaah.
I need to get better so I can go snorkelling in my whale shark suit.
Bloody falling apart body.

PS I am going to miss this Japanese house that the eldest created and left behind for my ex to display at his place. So fabulous!
PPS Have a great weekend.
