I am very not good at relaxing, which is one of the reasons I like the enforced relaxation of cruises.
Whenever I get a spare minute or two I tend to fill the gap with stuff like crazy property searches on Domain.
And I’ve found a fabulous one on the Northern Beaches, in Herbert Street, Newport.

The headline by the real estate agent is “Mid Century Entertainer with Pittwater Views”.
Yes please!

It was built by a timber merchant and is full of funky design details, but the one that really caught my eye is the bar that’s front and centre in the lounge room!

Oooooooh! She’s a beauty!
And I can’t believe I’m saying this but the place is also surprisingly affordable – the agent is quoting $2.5 million …
How did we get to the point where $2.5 million seems cheap?
Not that I have $2.5 million, so I’ve bought actual lottery tickets! Go me!
And if I win I’ll need to join the Royal Motor Yacht Club, because it’s just around the corner. Fancy!
If I don’t win I’m praying whoever does buy the house doesn’t just bulldoze it and destroy all those gorgeous mid-century interiors.
OK, gotta go. It’s my work Christmas party tonight and the theme is “Eras” or “Decades” or something and I begged for 80s but I think my team chose 50s and I’m SO not prepared.
Have a great day.

Love this. And I want that house too. 💜
I keep buying those lottery tickets …
