I should have been packing my bags last night and getting all my ducks in a row.
But I chose fun.
I was invited to an event celebrating Teeling Irish Whiskey. It was being held at a cool bar called Frank Mac’s in The Rocks and I thought – yeah, it’s a bit crazy when I have a flight to catch the next day, but I’m in.

I invited my sister and her boss managed to blag her way in too. We ran into a few other people I know and had bulk fun.

My verdict: Irish whiskey Old Fashioneds are delicious. Gold leaf as a garnish is a bit tricky though. Gets stuck between your teeth.
That might just be my most first-world problem ever.
I also accidentally smiled at someone across the room and then kicked myself because I thought they were a slag who stole my job 12 years ago.
But they weren’t, so we had a lovely chat.
They just have the same hairstyle.
I am so bad with faces.

Teeling Irish Whiskey is deeelicious. And so are the accents of Teeling Irish Whiskey Brand Ambassadors.
Today will be totally mad. So much to do before I fly out tonight.
I am oddly superstitious and can’t confirm in writing where I’m going until I get there.
So stay tuned. I will be in touch soon.
Take care. Have a great weekend. Catch you on the other side. Can’t wait to share details of my quickie break with you.
