That’s crazy talk

DD flew to the UK this week and is staying with his brother, who lives about 75km out of London.

He had a few business meetings in town so he caught the train … and was shocked to be charged $100 Australian for his ticket.

Even more outrageous was that the train was so full he had to sit on the floor for the expensive journey.

The shot above was taken by him as he looked up at his younger brother, who decided to stand for the loooooong commute.

Blimey! How do people afford to do that regularly?

It made me feel a bit less disappointed that I didn’t tag along.

Instead I spent yesterday holed up in my apartment watching the mould spread on my ceiling.

I keep asking the strata managers to do something about it, but zip has happened. My latest email suggested getting a wriggle on as it is going to cost increasingly more to fix.

I’ve checked the rooftop above it and I am fairly certain it is being caused by a missing tile. Another massive downpour will not have a pretty outcome … and it’s supposed to rain all weekend.

The inaction is sooooooooo infuriating!

Anyhoo, enough whingeing from me. I am happy to report I’m getting the stitches removed from my back this afternoon, so I will be able to have a proper shower and wash my hair tonight. Woo-hoo!

Have a great weekend, catch you on Monday.

Song of the day: Garbage “Only happy when it rains”
