Damn, I forgot

Yesterday was so hectic that I forgot to buy a ticket in the $20 million Lotto draw.

It is a terrible pity because I’d already picked out my new house, which is currently on the market in Mona Vale …

Oh. My. Giddy. Aunt …

It’s a corker.

Location. Location. Location …

I happened to drive past it yesterday as my micro working holiday was drawing to a close.

Then took one last dip at Bilgola and made my way home to my apartment. The dogs were very sad about it – they love staying at DD’s.

Charlie is a different animal up there, constantly running around, wanting me to chase him and throw balls.

It drives me absolutely nuts, but I also feel that I should indulge him. As I said to a bloke at the coffee shop, it’s kinda like how you endure building sandcastles with the kids when they’re little. Then they grow older and stop wanting you to build sandcastles and you find yourself wishing you could go back in time and do it again.

One day Charlie will stop begging me to play fetch and I will wish I had taken the time to do it more.

Speaking of growing older, the youngest called me last night for a chat about all the fun she’s having in Woollongong.

I am so happy for her, but still a bit sad for me as I adapt to my new normal of having two adult kids.

Song of the day: ABBA “Money, money, money”
