The opposite of glam

I popped over to my sister’s house on Saturday night to sip champers at dusk in her spa.

It’s been a long time between visits – lockdown and the spa being retiled got in the way.

In a moment of extremely poor planning, I got DD to do my roots a few hours prior. So I decided I’d better wear a plastic shower cap to protect my colour from the chlorine.

Sexy.

We ate chicken curry afterwards and watched Bohemian Rhapsody again on the tellie. When the movie first came out we went en masse as an extended family to see it in 3D at the cinema.

Such an awesome flick. We agreed it would have been beyond incredible to be at Live Aid.

On Sunday morning, I backed up and went for a beautiful bushwalk with my sis. And we daydreamed again – this time about owning this boat we saw …

It would be sooooooo nice to sail away.

Other excitements of the weekend included my microwave blowing up. Dammit. I went to the Good Guys and got the cheapest model they had to replace it because …

I took a deep breath and booked a family holiday on Friday. Yaaaaay! I’m keeping the details under wraps, as the world seems so precarious right now. The youngest had been hassling me to organise something, but seemed very whatever when I announced I’d finally done it. She explained that so many things have been cancelled this year – she was meant to be in Noosa for the recent school hols – she doesn’t believe anything is going to happen until it actually does.

Wise.

The weekend concluded with DD scoring a booking at our local brew house for dinner. It was lovely to be out together again, sipping a glass of wine and eating a Sunday roast.

Hope your weekend was a happy one too.

Song of the day: LMFAO “Sexy and I Know It”
