>> The most shocking – and tragic – celebrity news of the week was that Mick Jagger‘s partner of 10 years, designer L’Wren Scott committed suicide. Her assistant found her on Monday – she had reportedly texted the assistant at 8.30am and asked her to “come by” the apartment.
Mick had just landed in Perth for a Rolling Stones tour when the news broke.
It’s been speculated that business pressures lead to her death – she owed a total of £4.6 million to creditors.
Mick posted a tribute on his website saying:
I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.
We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.
She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.
I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.
I will never forget her,
